About the operation
The Community Building Administration is responsible for the technical supply within Mellerud Municipality. The administration works on behalf of the Municipal Executive Committee, which acts as the technical committee in Mellerud Municipality. The Food Unit is part of the Service Unit, which belongs to the Community Building Administration, where the units for food transport and cleaning are also included. The Community Building Administration in Mellerud consists of nine units: Administration, Water and Sewage, Property, District Heating, Street-Park, Waste Management, Service Unit, Planning & Building, and Rådahallen. In a smaller municipality, the distances between operations are shorter, and we always work for close cooperation in all directions.

Job Responsibilities
As a unit manager, you are expected to lead your staff in the kitchens to coordinate, inspire, and develop positive meal experiences of high quality for our diners. A significant and important part of the work is internal and external dialogue and collaboration. You are responsible for ensuring that the operation and economy in the unit's kitchens are conducted according to budget and plan, as well as for implementing decisions made. You have personnel and work environment responsibility in the unit, where you work to create good conditions for competence development, participation, work results, and work environment. You are well versed in applicable legislation, goals, and guidelines within your work area. You are responsible for ensuring that the staff is updated and knowledgeable about the operation's fire and safety routines, hygiene routines, self-control of food handling, and similar routines that apply. You are part of the Community Building management team and report to the head of Community Building. You collaborate and maintain good relationships with the municipality's other operations, politics, and external parties, such as other municipalities in the region and the business community.

Qualifications

You have an academic education in nutrition, food, and meal knowledge, or you have acquired your knowledge and experience in another way that can be equated with an education. You have at least 4 years of documented experience in roles that included responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances within similar areas in public administration.

We also see that you have:

- good knowledge in finance, procurement, goal management, and result monitoring
- knowledge of meal production and meal service in large kitchens
- experience and willingness to drive development and quality work
- good knowledge of sustainability issues and Agenda 2030
- leadership experience and are well versed in personnel-related issues and systematic work environment management
- good IT skills
- a valid B driver's license
